I know what you are thinking, another AI article. Yes! Trust me I have read the articles and to recap, if you are leading a group of people in any capacity and you have no policy or protocol on how, when, where, AI should be used at your company you are behind. AI is here to stay and, in some cases, it is here to make things easier. More one that later, for now let’s have some fun.
Can we make a list of the fun ways you are using AI in your position? The term “fun” is being used loosely here. But this is a judgment free zone, I’ll start.
As part of my HR rolls I have always worked on L&D material, anything from concept to formal presentations and many times this process is time consuming. A while back I worked for a guy who was a sucker for a good acronym. We spent many roundtable meetings with top leadership thinking of acronyms for various things including my L&D topics. Not the best use of time in my opinion but I digress. That is how the company operated, spending time thinking of catch ways to create a relevant acronym. So we did.
Fast forward to a few months ago, I uploaded my training material to Chat GPT and in seconds it popped out an acronym I can use to teach the subject. SECONDS! And it was good, relevant and easy for employees to remember the material. Mind blown! I know I was skeptical about how AI would work for me but no one had mentioned this.
Undoubtably, AI will be challenging for many institutions and organizations to manage however like so many things before not only will it challenge us it will make us better and faster.
